Built on doing the job properly
In Marin House Cleaning started in 2017 out of a straightforward observation: most people don't struggle with knowing their home needs cleaning — they struggle with finding the time and energy to do it well. That's where we come in.
We started with a small team and one simple standard: every home we clean should look and feel genuinely different when we're done. Not just tidied. Actually cleaned. We've kept to that standard as we've grown, and it's the reason most of our clients have been with us for years.
We work exclusively in the Calgary area. We're not a franchise and we don't try to be everything to everyone. We do residential cleaning, we do it carefully, and we show up when we say we will.

These aren't aspirational values on a wall — they're the things that actually guide how we do the work day to day.
We'd rather take longer and do it right. Rushing through a clean to hit a time target doesn't serve anyone. We set realistic timeframes and use them fully.
Same team, same approach, every time. When you have a recurring plan, you get the same people who already know your home. That familiarity improves the clean over time.
If there's an issue, we tell you. If something is outside our scope, we say so clearly. We don't promise things we can't deliver, and we don't hide mistakes.
We treat every home as if it were our own. That means handling items carefully, leaving things where we found them, and being mindful of the space we're in.
We choose cleaning products that are effective without being unnecessarily harsh. We're happy to work with products you prefer if you have sensitivities or specific requirements.
We show up when we say we will. If something unexpected comes up on our end, we communicate early and work out a solution — not leave you waiting.
How we got here
Started as a two-person operation focused entirely on doing residential cleaning to a high standard. First clients came through word of mouth from neighbours and friends.
Added two full-time cleaners and expanded capacity for recurring plans. Introduced a consistent onboarding process to make sure every new team member met our standards before going into homes independently.
Enough clients asked for transition cleaning that we formalized a move-in/move-out service. It quickly became one of our most-requested service types.
Passed 500 homes cleaned since opening. A meaningful number because most of them came from referrals and repeat clients — which tells us we're doing something right.
No major expansion plans — intentionally. We want to keep the team tight, the work consistent, and the service personal. Growth for its own sake has never been the goal.
